Employment Type: Full timeShift: 12 Hour Night ShiftDescription: Unit Secretary/Monitor Tech -Full-time- Nights- ICU Unit - St. Mary's Health Care System, Athens, GAJob DescriptionPosition Purpose:The Unit Secretary/Monitor Tech will work in the ICU Department at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens GA.What you will do:The Unit Secretary/Monitor Tech supports the assigned unit by facilitating communication with patients, staff, physicians, visitors and ancillary departments. The Unit Secretary directs incoming calls and responds to patient calls. The Unit Secretary enters physician’s orders in the Information System. The Unit Secretary maintains patient’s charts, unit files and secretarial supply levels. The Unit Secretary is responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly environment. Follows Telemetry Monitoring Policy & Procedures. Reports all abnormal findings to RN immediately. Records strips per policy.What you will need:Licensure/Certification/Registration: Nursing Assistant certification preferred. BLS certification required.Education: Must be a high school graduate or have GED equivalent.
