- Service predetermined client base with relevant offerings and solutions
- Identify, generate new business opportunities on an ongoing basis to achieve predetermined sales targets
- Prepare and present sales proposals and presentations to new and existing clients to negotiate and close deals, aimed at relevant client objectives
- Create tailored solutions that meet the client's short- and long-term needs
- Build strategic working relationships with clients and maintain a high level of client contact (telephonic, email communication and face to face) to ensure that their specific requirements are addressed, to monitor and grow existing business
- Provide professional and exceptional client service in all interactions with clients
- Closely monitor competitors and maintain client database
- Keep all administrative work updated including booking procedures
- Report on sales opportunities and achievements as required (weekly and monthly)
- Maintain a high level of relevant industry knowledge
- Experience selling magazine advertising space (preferred)
- Experience selling digital properties (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills
- Own transport
- Willingness to travel (when needed)
- Strong proposal writing skills
- Architecture & Construction Industry clients a bonus
- Strong organisational skills
- Understanding of Office365
- Attend in-person and online meetings
- A good knowledge of and interest in Architectural and Construction Industry
- Social media experience

- A recognised qualification in sales, journalism, copywriting, media or a similar relevant field
- At least 3 years in ad sales
- Experience in a similar position in a retail, publishing, brand or agency environment
- A sound working knowledge of digital and social media channels, including bought media on social
- An adaptable nature with a willingness to get involved in all aspects of the role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the willingness to be a team player
- The ability to work under pressure and proactively deal with high-stress situations
