- Author certification plans and associated materials for submittal to the FAA ODA or FAA
- Prepares and develops certification deliverables; certification plans, request for conformity (RFC), means of compliance, reports and other documentation as required.
- Collaborate with technical specialists to determine certification strategy and method of compliance for a given project
- Integrate a wide variety of compliance-showing information associated with various interior cabin elements into a cohesive strategy and certification plan
- Candidate will have administrative tasks daily and must balance technical aspects of project execution with administrative responsibilities of tracking progress of certification approvals for key project deliverables
- Represents the Certification team in both internal technical design review meetings and in meetings with customers and vendors
- Facilitates creative solutions to project specific certification issues by using existing FAA guidance and policy and collaborating with ODA administrators and unit members
- Organize conformity requirements and requests for submittal to the ODA
- Collects and organizes all completed substantiating data for STC projects into a package for submittal to the Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) and/or FAA
- Coordinate with other regulatory agencies such as EASA, JCAB, CAAI to facilitate foreign validation of FAA or ODA issued STCs.
- This position requires experience in program management, effective communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to coordinate Company certification programs for alterations and modifications.
- Bachelor’s degree and less than 2 years prior relevant experience OR
- In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required
- Experience authoring transport airplane certification plans for submittal to the FAA or FAA ODA
- Must be a great communicator (both written & oral) with the ability to partner with customers, stakeholders, and other team members.
- Must be an organized, process-oriented individual that adheres to ODA procedural protocol
- Willingness and ability to flex work schedule to accommodate time sensitive project closure demands
- Experience in customer facing roles involving presentation of technical information
