Life Claims AssessorSalary £34,000 - £40,000+Aviva paid more than 50,000 individual protection claims last year to a value of over £1 billion. To help us continue to deliver on our promises, we’re looking for Senior/Experienced Life Claims Assessors who are ready to be part of our amazing team that settles 98.3% of all individual protection policies.You’ll be joining a highly motivated team to assess life insurance cover, terminal illness and critical illness cover insurance claims - from investigation, to keeping customers informed and through to claim outcome, providing exceptional customer service. You’ll have a strong understanding of compliance with relevant policies, external regulation and claims standards, with exceptional care and empathy to ensure customer support and any vulnerability needs are looked after.A bit about the job:Manage a portfolio of claims customers across a wide spectrum of insurance products and additional benefits. The ability to work accurately across multiple systems, recommend process improvements and better ways of working, embracing change in technology and processes is key to our delivery and growth ambitionsProactively obtain all information necessary to validate a claim, deal with inbound and outbound calls and digital interactions from customers, brokers, suppliers and internal teams, acting as a referral point for more technical queries/problem resolution and escalating appropriate issues to specialists/managersTalking to customers to gather information to consider their claim, provide additional support with awareness of vulnerability, including sometimes having to deliver difficult outcomes in a sensitive wayProvide a high standard of written and verbal communication with customers and third party organisations, support management of relationships with external suppliers, partners or contractorsStay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, coach and mentor colleagues, undertake relevant training and participate in various projects and initiatives as neededSkills & experience we’re looking for:A comprehensive knowledge of life related related product in the individual risk market.Excellent relationship building and communication skillsA desire to deliver quality service at the highest levelAn excellent eye for detail and the confidence to make decisions on your ownCommitment to individual and team performanceWhat you’ll get for this role:Our purpose - with you today, for a better tomorrow – is a promise we make to our colleagues too.
