A well-established, independent accountancy practice based in the Wirral, is currently recruiting for a Sage Bookkeeper to join their accounting team. The role is due to growth and is offered on a permanent basis. Full time (35 hour week) is preferred, although for the ideal candidate, a 4 day week could be considered.Working with a busy team with a wide variety of clients, you will take responsibility for:·Developing relationships and handling queries in a professional manner
·Completing Vat returns
·Processing sales invoices, receipts and payments
·Bank reconciliations and posting bank transactions
·Producing accounts up to trial balance and liaising with the accounting team
·Ensuring work is completed in a timely manner
·Using a variety of accounting software packages, including Sage and xeroBenefits:

·Experience gained in a similar role - ideally within accountancy practice although bookkeepers with strong Sage experience from industry will also be considered
·AAT qualified preferred, but not essential
