- Writing original content for internal and external uses (including Elsevier’s online magazine, Elsevier Connect) and engaging with the Foundation’s online communities on X and LinkedIn;
- Helping to manage the Elsevier Foundation’s activities around our 20+ partnerships will also be a prominent part of the role;
- Finding opportunities to learn about- and contribute to different types of partner engagement and communications, in a global business environment focused on science, health and technology;
- Reporting to the Elsevier Foundation Program Officer. You will work a minimum of 4 days a week, 2 onsite at the Amsterdam office, starting between May and August 2024, for 6 months (exact dates to be discussed). Elsevier’s working language is English.
- Be enrolled as an MA student in a field preferably related to communication. Applicants with backgrounds in marketing, corporate sustainability, or international development are also encouraged to apply.
- Be enrolled in a university program to be eligible for an internship, in accordance with Dutch law, get credits for this internship from your university;
- Be a native or near-native English speaker with strong communications skills, both in writing and in everyday engagements with internal and external stakeholders;
- Be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Have solid organizational skills, the ability to take initiative;
- Have attention to detail and ability to work independently;
- Be willing learn, flexible work attitude, and able to work under (time) pressure
- Be proficient with Adobe Photoshop and/or InDesign is a plus
