For everyone, everywhere.More aboutJob DescriptionWe are looking for a German Localisation Specialist to join our global localisation team.Our localisation team is passionate about the Wise mission and wants to make sure that more countries and customers hear about it.
We want our product to be easy to use and accessible, and to speak to our customers as if it was written in their language.This is a challenging and exciting role in which you will be able to localise and adapt our contents and also have the ability to come up with innovative ways of reaching new customers.What about the role?The role is based in our London office. You will work closely with the Localisation Coordination team and other Localisation Specialists based in our offices around the world.You need to have a passion for words and experience in localisation. You should be comfortable working on finance, product and marketing contents.

Our team contributes to this with words — and we still have work to do.This role will give you the opportunity to:Work with product managers, developers, and localisation managers to help identify and solve problemsEngage in creative processes and help Wise find its voice in GermanResearch the local market and find ways for Wise to stand outYour missionLocalise Product/Marketing/Support contents from English to German maintaining the correct meaning, context and tone of the source text whilst adapting it to your local languageProofread and edit translated contents for linguistic accuracy and clarityCollaborate with the other localisation team members to promote synergies between markets or refine the tools, workflows or processes in use in the teamEvaluate and report on vendor quality for a continuous improvement cyclePerform QA and liaise with marketers, product owners, engineers and other stakeholders to investigate, fix or overcome issues and challengesDefine and ensure a consistent tone of voice —everywhere from web pages to customer support emailsIdentify and address growth opportunities with German-speaking audiencesEstablish and maintain language glossary, guidelines and terminology for other language stakeholders and teams, and keep it accessibleQualificationsA bit about youYou are a German native speaker and have over a year of experience in localisationYour linguistic skills in German allow you to effectively adapt your tone and style to suit product, marketing and support contentsYou have excellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishYou are familiar with CAT, TMS and/or MT tools as well as best practices in terms of quality management processes and workflowsYou have strong attention to detail and are committed to providing high-quality localisationYou have an analytical mind, and can express it constructively in order to reach what’s best for customersYou manage your time efficiently and are used to working in a fast-paced environment with concurring deadlines whilst maintaining high standards of qualityYour cultural sensitivity and awareness allow you to accurately convey cultural nuances in your workYou have at least a Bachelor's degree or equivalentSome extra skills that would be awesomeKnowledge of a second language would be beneficialExperience in transcription of marketing campaignBeing a certified translator * Experience of working in a global teamAdditional InformationFor everyone, everywhere.
