Description :Senior Accountant - Financial ReportingPosition Summary:This position will report to the Corporate Financial Reporting Manager and will be responsible for assisting the Accounting Department in preparing financial statements, consolidations and ad-hoc projects per management requirement. The work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.Responsibilities:
  • Support on the monthly and year-end reporting processes and assist in preparing periodic financial statements required for internal and external reporting.
  • Collect and analyze financial data, ensuring that all reporting follows FASB and GAAP reporting guidelines and requirements.
  • Assist in the initial and ongoing consolidation processes for multiple entities and ensure that all intercompany transactions and consolidation entries are accurate.
  • Evaluate the impact of new and emerging accounting standards and assist in drafting disclosures for the company’s financial statements.
  • Perform technical accounting research that help ensure compliance with the accounting standards, draft memos and propose recommendations regarding company policy.
  • Perform quality assurance and deliver recurring reports accurately and on-time.
  • May provide support and assistance to external auditors.
  • Will report to the Corporate Financial Reporting Manager.
  • Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.
  • Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.
Requirements:
  • 3– 4 years of accounting experience
  • CPA is a plus, but not required
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate financial data
  • Experience with Management Reporter (or similar software) and mapping accounts highly preferred
  • Strong Excel and data processing skills.
What’s the expected pay for this role?
  • $85,000 - $95,000 per year
  • The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable.
