- Support the ongoing execution of the Benefits2.0 transformation strategy to drive Employee Engagement, Process & Tech innovation, Financial Discipline, and CoE talent development pillars.
- Manage day to day administration and compliance of programs, through management of internal and vendor partner relationships. Engage as a strategic partner on the Benefits leadership team.
- Manage relationships with vendors and brokers, and monitor costs, service levels, processes, and accuracy of data. Lead negotiations and renewals with providers including governance, contract compliance, issues management, communications, schedule, and approach.
- Work closely with brokers to evaluate and benchmark benefit programs based on industry trends and best practices to ensure market competitiveness.
- Understand current and emerging market trends, identify potential opportunities and gaps, leverage external best practices and design benefit initiatives that are aligned to our global principles and corporate values, yet provide flexibility and local customization to account for cultural and market differences.
- Lead and drive the execution of benefit renewals and enrollment process, involved in all phases of renewal discussions, benefits communication, and change management plans.
- Review benefits trends and advise management on the state of benefits for the region, demonstrating an understanding of the market dynamics, key competitor benefit plan design, and industry trends.
- Ensure benefit program proposals balance PayPal values alignment, affordability and competitiveness, business objectives, and meet all legal requirements.
- Lead financial management, reporting & analytics, and procurement to payment processes for the region. Drive benefits risk mitigation in partnership with HR Risk and other relevant stakeholders.
- Align benefits strategy with the enterprise future of work operating model, to ensure that employees are supported regardless of location or remote working scenarios.
- Support merger and acquisition activities as they relate to benefits.
- Build and sustain trusting and collaborative relationships at multiple levels in the company; provide subject matter expertise and consultation to HRBPs, extended HR teams, and business leaders regarding complex benefits issues.
- Lead the benefits plan strategy and wellness design, renewal planning and negotiations; explore and recommend benefits plan design changes to support the business inclusion strategy.
- Drive our program alignment with the Diversity, Inclusion, Equity and Belonging team
- Drive a significant employee engagement agenda (e.g., Web, Digital, Benefits Branding, on-site Employee Engagement, Digital content distribution) in priority countries, to support a broad based and strategic “Know Your Benefits” campaign to drive higher understanding and usage of benefits programs
- Inspire and lead the Europe Benefits team to support their talent development
- Drive the introduction of contemporary tools and capabilities to support employee engagement (e.g. Digital, CMS, Automation)
- A seasoned benefits leader with competency across design and delivery of a range of benefit programs, along with strong knowledge of legislations and compliance in the region.
- Master’s degree in human resources or business management preferred.
- 10+ years of benefits management experience with at least 5 years of staff management experience in a complex, large global public company environment.
- Strong communication, organization, collaboration, documentation, and presentation skills. Exceptional presentation ability up through executive level. Demonstrated business and HR acumen. Natural flair for collaboration and stakeholder engagement in a matrixed environment.
- Strong project management, innovation, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing ambiguity and risk. Strong vendor management & budget management experience.
- Proven track record of translating vision into executable strategy.
- Ability to use data insights and metrics to create recommendations.
- Experience in M&A due diligence and benefits harmonization.
