For more than 80 years, Kaplan has been a pioneer in expanding educational access and transforming learning through new technologies. A recognized world leader in education with a presence in 28 countries, Kaplan empowers students, professionals, universities, and businesses to keep advancing in an ever-changing world. Kaplan International Pathways offers international students a wide range of flexible study options - from University preparation programs in the UK, USA, and Australia through to full degree programs in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Australia. Through our expertise in international student recruitment and reputation for high-quality teaching and pastoral care, we welcome thousands of international students from more than 100 countries into our colleges each year. Our Approach
At the heart of our educational approach is a belief in supporting students to become independent, motivated learners who will thrive in higher education. To do this, we recognise the need to provide a flexible, responsive experience which meets needs of learners who differ in background, requirements and pace. Our classrooms are active learning spaces and lessons are primarily student-centred. Students are also involved in shaping their programme so that they specialise in their area of interest according to their strengths and intended progression route and get the chance to undertake projects personalised to their interest and path. For many, this is a very different model for learning but one which results in highly engaged students who take responsibility for their academic success.Alongside our curriculum, we provide a suite of college services to help our students navigate their way through life in a new country – from advice on how to register with a GP, to practical tips on dealing with homesickness, to a program of social and cultural activities to help them experience the UK more broadly, to visa, accommodation, health and welfare services. Based on our welcoming ‘College Services Hub’, the team provides our students with a ‘one-stop shop’ where they can come to get advice, information, and support.About UVIC
