  • You will perform design analyses and calculations for mechanical projects and is responsible for the preparation of final detailed working drawings, comparative cost analysis.
  • You will perform review and checking of projects prepared by in-house engineers and architects.
  • You will coordinate with other engineers and architects, including Design-Bid-Build(DBB) and Design-Build (DB) projects, to ensure that final detailed working drawings, specifications, and RFPs are properly integrated with the building systems.
  • You will conduct various studies, monitors project progress and prepares quarterly reports.
  • You will prepare technical reports when appropriate describing problems investigate, procedures followed, results obtained, and conclusions reached.

QualificationsIn addition to the Basic Education Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing mechanical and/or Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) projects in various geographical locations; 2) Providing comments on technical adequacy and constructability of plans and specifications for mechanical and/or Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems; 3) Visiting construction sites to routinely identify mechanical and/or Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) problems and obtain solutions with support from the Supervisor, a Supervisor General Engineer (SGE), or other technical experts; and 4) Providing surveillance of construction contract submittals for mechanical and/or Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) components.Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website: and andExperience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
