- Supporting the Head of Proposals in ensuring that KBR continues to deliver the highest quality proposal documentation.
- Proposal planning and co-ordination of proposal deliverables and facilitating their completion.
- Ensuring adherence to proposals procedures and providing guidance to others involved in proposal preparation processes (from kick-off to red team reviews).
- Ensuring proposals are responsive to invitation to tender documents.
- Developing, coordinating and producing win themes and strategies – differentiating KBR from our competitors.
- Writing individual sections of proposals or, for smaller proposals, the whole proposal.
- Conducting reviews of bids prior to submission to ensure submissions are to a high quality and to KBR standards
- Supporting business development / operations in developing all aspects of the bid,
- Standing in for the Head of Proposals and Manager of proposals in their absence
- Supporting the maintenance of data / information needed for the preparation of proposals.
- Preparation of expressions of interest, pre-qualifications, client presentations and support on other sales and marketing activities.
- Manage the continual upkeep and development of knowledge stores including standard company information, experience lists, executive summaries and all proposals related information
- Drive the bid team to follow processes, carry out due diligence before submitting proposals to meet tight deadlines
- Reporting to Senior Management on proposal activities and status.
- Leadership and management - Performs assignments with light supervision and manages others in a matrix environment (including more senior individuals)
- Organisation - high degree of planning and organising skills as well as mature judgement..
- Proactive and decisive – an individual that makes things happen and is always looking at what needs to be done in the future.
- Writing skills – must be able to write proposal text with persuasive and compelling arguments / justification on why KBR.
- Creativity – demonstrates creativity and foresight to develop innovative solutions to differentiate KBR from our competitors.
- Interpersonal skills –by their nature bids require frequent interchange of information and interaction with others. The individual must be an excellent communicator and team player.
- Editing skills - must be able to review and edit work of others.
- Deadlines – works well under the pressure of tight deadlines.
- Flexibility – some evening or weekend work will be required on tight bid deadlines.
- Be responsible for managing and improving our success and win ratio.
- Stakeholder management
- Project Management / Engineering background.
- Essential - right to work in the UK.
- A relevant number of years’ experience in bid management preferably in the oil and gas industry / energy transition.
- Strong management skills and organizational
- Minimum requirement of three days on site.
