Bordeaux - Inserm) is a joint University-Inserm research unit comprising 10 research teams working on a range of public health topics. The Global Health in the Global South (GHiGS) team conducts public health research projects in developing countries.The Decide-TB project, funded by the European Commission (Horizon Europe EDCTP3), aims to generate evidence on the implementation of therapeutic decision algorithms for tuberculosis in children living in certain identified areas. It has been running in Mozambique and Zambia since April 2023 and will end in 2027.In this context, and for a fixed-term contract (project), we are recruiting a project manager.The main mission of the Implementation Project Manager is to develop and steer the implementation activities of the interventions tested as part of the Decide-TB project, as well as to participate in the evaluation of the implementation processes, in conjunction with the project's other social science research activities (socio-behavioral, economic, political research).Your activities will fall into two main areas:1/ Develop and manage activities to implement the tested interventions with partners from the University of Zambia, INS and national programs.You take part in selecting the districts involved and documenting their baseline characteristics;You will coordinate the drafting and updating of Decide-TB project implementation guides, covering activities such as patient/sample circuits, coordination, or training - supervision - mentoring of health personnel;You will plan implementation activities in consultation with the 2 countries, and coordinate and supervise the smooth running of implementation, including supervision of interventions and collection of key implementation data;You lead working groups in charge of implementation in the countries, and research on implementation carried out within the framework of the project.2/ Participate in the evaluation of implementation processesYou participate in drafting the research protocol for the implementation research component, in conjunction with the project's other social science research activities;You help define operational and research tools to document implementation, in conjunction with the project's social science research tools/issues;You coordinate the collection of implementation and contextual data (linked to the project's other social science research data), and collaborate with local research assistants;You monitor and analyze every 3 months the indicators and mixed (quantitative and qualitative) implementation data collected in the districts, and produce quarterly implementation reports;You coordinate the feedback of implementation data to implementers in the 2 countries, every 3 months;Finally, you participate in the interdisciplinary analysis of mixed (quantitative and qualitative) implementation research data, and other social science research data throughout the project.The Decide-TB project, led by the GHiGS team, is funded by the European Commission (Horizon Europe EDCTP3). It aims to generate evidence on the implementation of therapeutic decision algorithms for tuberculosis in children living in countries with a high incidence of tuberculosis and limited resources, in district hospitals and primary health care centers, and to facilitate their integration into practice and policy. The project is being carried out in Mozambique and Zambia, and began in April 2023 and will end in March 2027.
