With colleagues, customers, patients, and residents in mind you’ll have the opportunity to work on innovative projects and make a real impact on their lives.Bupa’s data and digital landscape is constantly evolving and to help us achieve this we are looking to expand our data architecture team to help us design and shape our technology roadmaps in Data and drive forward the Data Strategy.The Data platform Architect works with colleagues from across the BGUK business to understand and translate business and technology requirements into solutions, designs and architectures that are fully aligned with the organizational, architectural and technology strategies; and support delivery to make sure they are successfully implemented.As a Data subject matter expert, you will be responsible for driving best practice, educating Technology and business colleagues on data technologies and delivery, and feeding into Bupa’s data strategies.Right from the start you’ll become part of our digital strategy, joining us on our journey and developing yourself along the way.How you’ll help us make health happen:Design and implement the architecture of the Cloud Data and Analytics Platform and all its components; using best practices and industry standards to ensure its scalability, reliability, and performance.Own the Technical Architecture of the Cloud Data and Analytics Platform by showing expertise of the data technology used on the platform Azure (Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks, Azure Machine Learning), Power BI, and Snowflake (Snowflake, Snowpark)Understanding of data technologies that integrate with the platform both actual (Apigee, SAS, SAP) and potential (Google)Own the Application Architecture of the Cloud Data and Analytics PlatformCreate and maintain the High-Level Designs of the platform components (Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Workspaces (Reporting, Data Science, Integration)Support the Implementation and Operation of the platform by providing clear Designs, sharing technical knowledge of the platform and Answering any technical queryWork closely with all stakeholders across the organisation, including data governance, data scientists, data operation, data analysts, and business leaders, to understand their requirements and ensure that the data platform meets their functional and non-functional needs.Gather and Document the key functional and non-functional requirements of the platform that will impact the architectureKey Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:Extensive Experience in data platform architecture, with practical experience of designing and implementing scalable and reliable analytical and insight data platformProven expertise in implementing all components of the data platform (Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Data Marts)Proven expertise in implementing a wide range of analytics and insight solutions (Reporting, Analytics, Data science)Experience in data capabilities such Data Science, Artificial Intelligence (including GenAI), Machine LearningStrong skills in Data Engineering and Integration technology principles (ETL/ELT/Micro-Batches/APIs/Streams)Strong expertise of Data Warehouse Modelling at all level (Conceptual to Physical)Knowledge of Data Governance best practices and industry standards (Data Quality, Data Lifecycle, Data Management, Metadata Management…).Experience with cloud-native solutions, preferably Microsoft Azure and Snowflake.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the organization.Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issuesExperience with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.Exposure and passion for new and emerging data technologies and trends.Enthusiastic, passionate, and innovative.BenefitsOur benefits are designed to make health happen for our people.
