- Develop annual delivery plans and lead delivery of planned activities and promotion of legacy and in memory fundraising products to achieve budget net income and grow our active supporter base. These products include: funeral and celebration of life collections; online tribute funds; Memory Tree; Make a Will Month; solicitor and funeral director initiatives; gifts in Wills promotion and stewardship.
- Project manage all elements required to deliver planned activities, including producing creative briefs, liaising with internal teams and external suppliers/agencies, producing data briefs, writing and reviewing copy, proofing artwork and ensuring internal sign-off processes are followed.
- Co-plan and co-deliver the Hospice’s flagship in memory appeal, ‘Light up a Life’, including a cash appeal, local remembrance service events, a radio dedication show and public installations of names of those remembered as part of the appeal.
- Monitor and evaluate income and expenditure, taking corrective action when necessary to reach targets.
- Plan and prepare legacy and in memory activity-specific thank you and stewardship communications and supporter journeys.
- Ensure that legacy and in memory income from all channels and sources is coded, batched and thanked in a timely manner and in accordance with relevant legislation and best practice.
- Experience of developing and promoting in memory and/or legacy fundraising products, e.g. Will-making initiatives, online tribute funds, in memory events, funeral collection materials etc.
- Experience of using a variety of on and offline channels to deliver successful marketing campaigns to acquire and develop donors / customers.
- Experience of managing income and expenditure budgets, including reforecasting.
- Experience of using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database systems (e.g. Donorflex).
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and nurture relationships with key existing and potential supporters.
- Excellent attention to detail when reviewing your own and colleagues’ work to ensure high standards while working to deadlines.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to organise own workload to manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work proactively to identify and solve problems effectively using own initiative.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
