- Contribute to the global Digital Engineering Strategy in line with local market priorities. Support a radical step up the relevance of the global DE strategy for the local markets.
- Build 'internal marketing' materials for Digital Engineering platforms to support Heads of Engineering sell their value to CIOs and Commercial market teams.
- Run the day-to-day engineering advocacy function to embed world class engineering practices, listening to the community and removing blockers that prevent them from being productive, or working as one global team
- Manage rigorous Change Management processes, enabling proactive management of changes in demand and associated prioritisation and costs, including impact of changes on in-year Capex and Opex
- Ensure appropriate engagement, governance and interlocks with other Vodafone teams to reduce duplication and maximise reuse opportunities.
- Manage the Engineering Advocacy function, focusing on opportunities to improve the efficiency and productivity of everyday activities in our engineering teams.
- Contribute to the assessment and identification of the key areas in which existing global partnerships are able to benefit the Digital Engineering domain in delivering its objectives to local markets. Ownership of global partnerships for Digital Engineering.
- Manage the strategy for the adoption of these new technologies across our engineering teams and markets.
- Extensive cross functional end to end technical project or program delivery experience
- Demonstrable experience in building and managing complex stakeholder relationships
- Possesses understanding of frameworks (e.g. Waterfall/Agile) and methodologies (e.g. Prince2/ SAFe)
- Understanding of the application and software development lifecycle
- Technical change / transformation experience
- Experience of managing and working with cross-cultural teams
- Experience of managing complex transformation programmes or projects.
- Leadership - ability to manage, motivate & develop virtual teams in a matrix environment.
- Resilience - adapting to difficult or challenging experiences through behavioural flexibility and adjustment to external and internal demands.
- Experience of working within a large corporate environment
- Ability to quickly assimilate technical knowledge from outside own area of expertise
- Professional Qualification Prince 2 / SAFe / APMG/ MSP/ ITIL or significant equivalent experience
- Competence with Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint/ADO /Project

- Discretionary yearly bonus: 10%
