Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent Number of positions: 1YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Position Overview: We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our team as a GCP - BigQuery Specialist to support our data analytics initiatives. As a GCP - BigQuery Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our data warehouse infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, with a focus on leveraging BigQuery to extract actionable insights from large datasets. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data solutions, implement best practices, and drive data-driven decision-making across the organization.Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest, transform, and load data into BigQuery.
- Optimize BigQuery performance by designing efficient data models, partitioning strategies, and query optimization techniques.
- Work closely with data engineers and data analysts to ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability.
- Develop and automate data workflows using Google Cloud services such as Dataflow, Dataprep, and Composer.
- Implement security and access controls to protect sensitive data stored in BigQuery.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues, performance bottlenecks, and system failures.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in cloud-based data analytics and Big Data technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience working with Google Cloud Platform, with a focus on BigQuery.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience writing complex queries to analyze and manipulate large datasets.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing data pipelines using GCP services such as Dataflow, BigQuery ML, and Composer.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and ETL processes.
- Experience with cloud-based data storage solutions such as Google Cloud Storage (GCS) and Bigtable.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Google Cloud Platform Certification (e.g., Professional Data Engineer, Associate Cloud Engineer).
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Google Data Studio, Tableau, or Looker.
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and frameworks.
