- Responsible for working with the Purchasing and Warehouse Team, delivery of parts and services shared by multi-operational areas
- Responsible for file and tracking deliveries in a manner for easy access for review and execution.
- Maintain Purchase Info Records
- Shared responsibility of updating planning report for buyer to action for managing materials as required.
- Support Supply Chain with strategic sourcing developments and consumption analysis
- Manage distribution of consolidated parts and services for each operational area
- Collaborate with operational managers and planners to plan future deliveries, update vendors for on-time deliveries
- Actively participate in planning meetings, coordinate and communicate with vendors and internal, project management team. Feedback shall be communicated to team members on special requirements, inventory requirements and changes orders.
- Review and action material component descriptions, units, delivery
- Analyse freight cost and propose improvements
- Develop, organize, and maintain material consumption system
- Assist in preparing and update monthly planning reports for buyer to execute on.
- Ensure ERP system information is current and accurate. Update, verify and utilize the ERP system to place orders and identify buy situations for product lines
- Other duties as assigned by management
- Support category related strategic sourcing activities (including RFI / RFP / RFQ management)
- Support relationship with vendors, develop new vendors
- Execute Contract Management activities
- Cover full transactional cycle, from the request definition to contract management
- Monitor shipment and delivery of goods and services
- Invoicing validation
- Supplier performance evaluation
- Resolve potential blockages, recommend solutions to operational and contractual issues
- Contribute to various cross-functional Purchasing projects and initiatives.
- 3 - 5 years progressive experience in a purchasing environment
- Education in Material Planning, Engineering/Technology and/or Supply Chain would be preferred.
- This position is ideal for an individual with an appropriate balance of technical ability and procurement people skills
- Analytical skills, ability to work with forecasts, purchase history, and use of patterns is required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP software systems. Experience in Maximo would be an asset.
- Must be able to adapt and react to constantly changing details and priorities, with the ability to prioritize and problem solve in a busy environment.
