Proof of licenses, certifications, and/or education must be submitted with each application.Examples of DutiesUnder general supervision, participates in the operation, maintenance, security and enhancement of micro- and/or mini-computer systems and associated hardware and software components. Provides technical support to agency management and computer users.
  • Operates and maintains agency micro- and/or mini-computer systems, telecommunications networks, and associated equipment, software, and system components.
  • Identifies and resolves system hardware and software malfunctions. Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment.
  • Backs-up, retrieves, and stores data, tapes, and files.
  • Installs and configures computer hardware components such as PCs, printers, scanners, network interface cards, modems, and RAM upgrades.
  • Installs new software applications, upgrades existing PC software, and installs various software fixes and patches.
  • Assists Office Automation Analysts and others in the operation and maintenance of computer systems.
  • Provides technical support to agency computer users regarding system hardware and software applications.
  • Provides guidance to agency management regarding office automation issues. Maintains security access for computer networks.
  • Creates databases, spreadsheets, and automated presentations.
