Linde Material Handling UK Ltd has a great opportunity for a Payroll Officer to join our team at our Head Office in Basingstoke.The role will have responsibility for effectively and efficiently processing monthly UK payrolls. As an experienced Payroll Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring a comprehensive payroll service.What we offer:Key Responsibilities of the Role:To support the Payroll Manager and payroll team in processing the company’s UK payrolls ensuring statutory and contractual compliance in all payroll processes.To work in accordance with the payroll software provider’s managed service processes and deadlinesTo liaise closely with HR colleagues to accurately input payroll data to the payroll system, including data for starters and leavers, absence, statutory leave, earnings and deductions, fixed and variable.To accurately calculate ad hoc payments for manual input to payroll system.To collate and check the data interface files from the HR system to be forwarded to payroll software provider.To review and check payroll system output reports, liaising, when necessary, with the Payroll Manager regarding any corrections required.To produce pay period, annual and ad hoc payroll reports and information for the business as required.To support the Payroll Manager in ensuring pension member information, held by the company’s pension providers is kept up to date. To administer pension member changes, such as starters, leavers, pensionable salary and contribution information in accordance with scheme rules and statutory deadlines.To support the Payroll Manager in administering the company’s employee benefits, such as private medical insurance, childcare voucher and the share schemes.To assist in the annual preparation of P11D’s forms.To complete HMRC, Jury Service, Court Order and Loss of Earnings forms when required.To assist the Payroll Manager in the preparation information and reports for internal and external payroll audits.To assist and support colleagues throughout the company to resolve payroll and company benefit queries.Tasks and Qualifications:Essential Experience/Skills Required:Data entry and ‘end to end’ payroll processing experienceUp to date knowledge of payroll legislationComputer literate with Microsoft Excel and Word experienceAbility to work to deadlinesAccurate data entry skillsGood written and oral communication skillsProfessional and confidential mannerDesirable Experience/Skills:Ability to carry out manual calculationsQualified or studying towards the CIPP’s Certificate in Payroll Administration or equivalentWhat We Offer:37 hour working week (Monday to Friday)Hybrid working pattern (after completion of training)25 days holiday + Bank HolidaysCompany Pension Scheme - 6% Employer contribution, minimum 4% employee contributionDiscount scheme, with access to deals from some of the UK’s largest brandsFree parking on siteCanteen on site
