- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and evaluations of older adult patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices and clinical expertise.
- Provide specialized psychiatric treatment, including medication management and psychotherapeutic interventions, tailored to the unique needs of older adults.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including geriatricians, psychologists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate care and ensure the delivery of integrated services.
- Lead and participate in case conferences, team meetings, and clinical supervision sessions to review patient progress, discuss treatment strategies, and optimize outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvements and innovations to enhance the quality and effectiveness of psychiatric care for older adults.
- Medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Completion of specialist training in Psychiatry and eligibility for inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register.
- Extensive experience and expertise in providing psychiatric care to older adults, with a focus on Old Age Psychiatry.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships with patients and colleagues.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of developments in the field of Old Age Psychiatry.
