Job Description:1. OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:The role holder is responsible for managing all the activities related to the Architecture function, including coordination and control of design activities as part of the Architecture Management. The responsibility also includes reviewing the Architecture reports as necessary to ensure accuracy as well as developing the Architecture budget as per the defined processes and procedures.3. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:Qualification:1. Bachelor level degree in ICT from an internationally recognized institution
2. Post graduate degree is preferred
3. TOGAF certification or similarExperience:1. 8 - 10 years of experience in Architecture or other relevant ICT functional areas
2. Experience with large ERP systems such as OracleSkills:1. Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills (e.g. MS Office, MS Excel, MS Word)
2. Strong managerial and interpersonal skills for interacting with Specialists, SVE partners, system integrators, Ma'aden employees and upper management
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
4. Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
5. Good writing skills when dealing with colleagues within the ICT function, Ma'aden Employees, SVE partners and system integrators4. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Focus AreaOperational / FunctionalLegal:1. Estimate required resources and plan design activities for new or changed services and communicate it to the Architecture Specialist
2. Define the correct enterprise architecture for Ma'aden
3. Define a clear data modelling strategy for Ma'aden
4. Be accountable for the future infrastructure, application and architecture strategies
5. Define the architecture policies and principles for Ma'aden
6. Ensure that the Architecture Management activities for coordination and control of design activities such as identifying activities required to deliver service, defining application architecture, data / information architecture, infrastructure architecture, security ar architecture, roles and responsibilities, planning for deployment and implementation and producing Service Design Package (SDP) for new or changed services are executed by the Architecture Specialist as per the defined policies and procedures
7. Review the developed Service Design Package (SDP) and make updates as necessary to the SDP, prior to sharing it with the Director: Architecture, Analytics & Data Science for review and approval
8. Obtain Director: Architecture, Analytics & Data Science's approval on the developed SDP
9. Review the prepared / updated ICT policies and make updates as necessary before sharing it with Director: Architecture, Analytics & Data Science and Chief Information Officer for final approvals
10. Ensure that the ICT policies are communicated to the relevant stakeholders and necessary trainings are provided in coordination with Architecture Specialist
11. Develop the Architecture budget and share with Director: Architecture, Analytics & Data Science for consolidation
12. Monitor the Architecture expenses against budget and investigate / justify significant variances
13. Monitor existing ICT policies, procedures and systems and assist in the development and implementation of new systems, policies and procedures to meet changing requirements and future needs of the business
14. Contribute to the preparation of Architecture related reports to management, auditors, etc.
15. Resolve any issues escalated by Architecture Specialists regarding fulfilment of specific business needs
16. Ensure specific needs of the customers are catered to and escalate any unresolved issues to Director: Architecture, Analytics & Data ScienceLeadership1. Contribute to a working environment and culture which engages all Architecture staff
2. Develop and coach junior staff in order to retain and expand talent through focused attention and effort
3. Ensure employees are adequately coached and trained in line with requirements of their role
4. Contribute to the performance management and appraisal of employees and ensure timeliness and fairness of process
5. Participate in the identification, assessment and recruitment of potential employees
6. Monitor and push the Architecture function to innovate, thereby continually enhancing quality and reducing cost by streamlining processes, procedures and automation
7. Ensure adoption / compliance, where applicable, with world class trends and best practices in Architecture with the goal of ultimately driving cost reduction and quality enhancement
8. Report to the Architecture, Analytics & Data Science Director / Manager on a periodic basis key operational KPIs
9. Submit to the Architecture, Analytics & Data Science Director / Manager and above on a regular and ad hoc basis input for business planning and operational improvementsRelationships1. Report to the Architecture, Analytics & Data Science Director / Manager
2. Maintain healthy working environment within the team of Architecture Specialists
3. Coordinate / collaborate with the Specialists to resolve escalated operational issues and deliver efficient services
4. Manage internal relationships regarding operational issues
5. Regularly oversee any relevant subordinate team staff for quality and efficiency
