- Designing, coding, testing and shipping APIs, backend Elixir applications and microservices that ensure we deliver secure, highly reliable, and scalable solutions to our customers
- Collaborating with Product Management to refine features and plan for their execution
- Own and operate what we build, ensuring long term service health
- Work with a wide range of systems, processes, and technologies to build solutions that solve customer problems, including crossing team or repository ownership boundaries where needed to get the job done
- Participating in our team's on-call rotation, triaging and addressing production issues as they arise
- 7+ years of development experience, designing, building, and operating large systems with scalability, availability, and performance requirements
- Experience with at least one modern programming language such as Elixir, Python, Java, Ruby, etc.
- Experience with tools that ensure your high quality work makes a smooth, automated, repeatable transition from your machine to our staging and production environments
- Experience participating in an on-call rotation and triaging/addressing production issues as they arise
- Experience working with Product teams, ensuring and driving a timely delivery
- Recent Elixir experience is preferred
- Experience working on ML-based solutions
- Experience working with data scientists and ML experts
- Experience with the AWS cloud ecosystem
- Experience working on customer-facing and web-based Software-as-a-Service (Saas) systems
