As Digitalization Product Manager within Meat division, you are responsible for a complete overview of the products and their business success, including revenues, costs and growth. This is a crucial role in defining, developing, and implementing digital products and services for the Marel’s “Smart factory” based Machine and Line product portfolio that support the business objectives. You collaborate with various stakeholders, including product development teams, marketing, sales, service & customers.As part of your daily responsibility, you will:
  • Develop pricing strategies and positioning for product lines, ensuring alignment with value propositions to maximize profitability and market competitiveness.
  • Collaborate with industry sales teams to create annual revenue budgets, leveraging insights into market trends and customer needs to drive revenue growth.
  • Deliver high-quality business cases and value propositions for new product development initiatives, incorporating thorough market analysis and financial projections to support decision-making and investment prioritization.
  • Identify digitalization opportunities and develop a strategy to create and maintain digital products and services that add value to customers and the company.
  • Manage and work closely with stakeholders such as product development, marketing, sales, and customers to understand market needs and translate them into actionable product requirements.
  • Plan and manage the development, launch and lifecycle of digital products and services, including developing marketing plans (sales and service included), training, and supporting customer adoption.
  • Evaluate the performance of digital products and services using performance indicators and customer feedback, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities, using these insights to continuously adjust and improve the digital product strategy.

In order to be successful in this position, we expect you will have a bachelor's or master's degree in science/technology, business administration, marketing, or a related field & demonstrated experience in product management, preferably with digital products and services. Moreover, you bring with you:
  • Ability to develop and execute effective marketing strategies and tactics to promote products or services, drive brand awareness, and generate leads
  • Expertise in employing proven sales techniques and methodologies tailored to B2B environments, fostering client relationships, and closing deals
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Skill in conducting thorough market need analysis, pricing evaluations, and competitor assessments to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Commitment to putting the customer at the center of smart factory and digital product development efforts
  • Understanding of digital technologies, platforms, and tools relevant to the development and deployment of digital products, coupled with the ability to quickly grasp new technological concepts
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written
