If speculative CVs are sent, no fee will be applicable - please direct all queries to the relevant Resourcing Partner.Fire and Security Commissioning Engineer - Asset IntelligenceScunthorpeWhat you will be doing:An opportunity has arisen for a Fire and Security Commissioning Engineer to join the team at Galliford Try within our Asset Intelligence.Ideally, you will based in or around the Scunthorpe area.
- Installation, testing, and commissioning of Fire & security systems, including:
- Intruder Panels & Various Intruder devices
- Fire Panels & Associated devices
- Hatch Alarm Systems
- CCTV
- Access Control
- Intercoms
- PIDS
- Completion of commissioning records including, Inspection & Test Plans, C&E Testing, Inspection & Test Reports and Training Manuals
- Reviewing diagrams and provide strategies to commission equipment in line with client specifications
- Attendance at commissioning meetings with representatives from our clients engineering and operational teams
- Liaising with our suppliers and subcontractors throughout the on-site Installation and commissioning process
- Undertaking client training covering both operational and technical competencies
- Utilise industry best practices for system fault finding and problem-solving
- Ensuring a safe work environment
- Knowledge of BS5839 requirements
- Communication and collaboration
- Technical problem solving
- Aware of individual Health and Safety responsibilities and adheres to company health and safety policy and procedures
- Able to demonstrate alignment and work in line with the Galliford Try values - Excellence, Passion, Integrity and Collaboration
- Basic FIA Training
- An industry applicable ONC or City & Guilds / NVQ equivalent
- Industrial experience of electronic security systems
- Working knowledge of Microsoft packages
- SMSTS (Preferred)
- Relevant CSCS cards.
