Key accountabilities of the role include, but are not limited to the following:Overall Role Responsibilities
  • Using a combination of industry knowledge, tools, trends, and technology to create solutions for client problems
  • Playing a key role in the delivery of projects by acting as the liaison between the project team and the client
  • Having the ability to multitask and work across various projects and tasks, both internally within Deloitte across teams and externally
  • Ability to handle admin responsibilities through functions such as finance, project management, time management, resource management, coaching and other similar functions
Preliminary Analysis and Data Exploration
  • Conduct analysis to understand client's business, determine and prioritise client needs and identify opportunities for business enhancement
  • Carry out research, data collection and conduct appropriate analysis to derive valuable insights for client needs
  • Support and guidance on the preparation and exploration of client data including statistical analyses
Data Analytics and Modelling
  • Build and implement models for a variety of purposes using a wide range of tools and applications
  • Assist with analytical and data science modelling for specific client requirements
  • Carry out analytical and statistical exercises such as customer segmentation analysis, customer propositions (such as campaigns, promotions, interventions, etc.) investigations, etc.
  • Assist with the scoping, planning, development and delivery of dashboards - internally to Deloitte and externally with clients
  • Automation of manual processes
  • Experience and understanding of the scoping, planning and delivery steps of data projects/products and the supporting capabilities - i.e. requirements gathering, prioritisation/portfolio management, translation functional requirement to technical requirements, STTM, ETL, data governance requirements, data modelling, model development, reporting/visualisation, testing/UAT, etc.
Management
  • Proactively support and manage the sales process and delivery of projects
  • Actively seek project and client opportunities to drive sales and revenue targets within the team and across Deloitte
  • Compile client reports, marketing documentation and presentations using Word and PowerPoint.
  • Work, interact and communicate with clients
  • Contribute to business development as well as suggest new service offerings
  • Collaborate internally withing Deloitte and externally with partners to derive suitable solutions to identified opportunities
  • Actively foster a collaborative environment among project team members
  • Develop, upskill, and coach junior team members
QualificationsQualifications & Experience required
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Actuarial, Econometrics, Statistics, Computer Sciences (with mathematics basis) or STEM related degree. Strong Mathematical ability is essential.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience.
  • Consulting experience or equivalent existing professional network is essential to help drive client relationships and identify opportunities.
  • Experience in efficiently managing multi-disciplinary teams and various client deliverables according to scope and timelines.
  • Understanding of financial aspects of business, such as budgets, costs, and revenue calculations, customer management, etc.
  • Experience using the suite of Microsoft Office software (Excel and Word and PowerPoint).
  • Experience using at least a minimum 1 of the following technologies (SAS/R/Python/or similar).
  • Experience using relevant data tools (PowerPivot and/or Power Query and/or SQL or similar).
  • Some experience in Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence or Analytical Modelling.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
  • Experience using Business Intelligence Platforms will be advantageous (Power BI/Tableau/QlikView/other similar).
  • Cloud experience would be advantageous (Azure/AWS/GCP/Other).
  • Experience in delivering projects through various delivery methods, such as Agile, are advantageous.
  • Other programming/coding skills are advantageous (e.g. Dax/VBA/Other).
  • Certifications in cloud technologies/capabilities, AI/ML/statistical modelling, reporting/visualisation/dashboarding technologies, project management or related capabilities will be advantageous.
