Job Description :For this Accounts Payable Finance Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the accounts payable function as part of a large high-volume team. Also, you will be given the opportunity to be involved in a new core UK finance system.Some of the key responsibilities for this successful individual would be but no limited to:
  • Ensuring all staff expenses received are authorised and coded appropriately and are in line with Groups expense policy and processed to strict deadlines
  • Check validate and audit all expense claims for accuracy and ensure all receipts are attached and the VAT has been calculated correctly to ensure they are processed in the Oracle finance system and paid on time
  • Liaising with the relevant employee and approvers regarding any queries on the expense claim submitted
  • Responsible for ensuring New Supplier and New Clients accounts are set up on the system and maintaining existing account details
  • Dealing with all queries relating to new suppliers and client set up from both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensuring all control and validation check on supplier bank details are completed in advance of any new supplier being set up
  • Building and maintaining excellent working relationship with the wider finance/operations team and external clients
  • Dealing with all queries relating to Expenses, New Supplier and Client Set up accounts from both internal and external stakeholders
  • Support with the year end audit and provision of supporting information to auditors
  • Other ad hoc support to the wider finance, operations team if required
RequirementsThe successful Accounts Payable Finance Officer, you will be/have:You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the accounts payable function as part of a large high-volume team.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • A good working knowledge of accounts payable, experience of working in a high volume fast paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A professional can-do attitude with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency using Microsoft office and finance software, Oracle would be great
  • Competent with Microsoft Excel (V-Lookups, Pivot Tables)
