Our roles will give you first-hand insights into the processes, systems, and practices that are aligned to ensure customer needs are met through flawless execution and the application of leading-edge technology.The team at Panametrics, a Baker Hughes business designs and manufactures a range of sensing instrumentation and sensors that are utilized in a vast array of market segments. Panametrics is looking for a Firmware Engineer to work closely with our Electrical Engineering teams to design, prototype, validate, and certify next-generation industrial sensing.Partner with the bestYou’ll participate in focused training, and team meetings, work on projects, and present your results. During your internship, you will be supported by a buddy and your manager who will ensure you have a valuable learning experience. You can expect to receive coaching and mentoring to enable you to complete assignments and projects to develop your learning and skillset.You will also have the opportunity to become familiar with the Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) and culture of Baker Hughes. as well as our strong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.As an Intern, you will be responsible for:Designing and developing software/ firmware, perform validation, and maintenance of industrial grade embedded systemsEvaluating system level requirements by brainstorming with Product Specialists, Product Managers, and other peers throughout the organizationPerforming cross platform development of C/C++ code while maintaining code quality through best practices and code quality automationDesigning and develop software/ firmware, perform validation, and maintenance of industrial grade embedded systemsEvaluating system level requirements by brainstorming with Product Specialists, Product Managers, and other peers throughout the organizationPerforming cross platform development of C/C++ code while maintaining code quality through best practices and code quality automationFuel your passionTo be successful in this role you will:Have experience with developing embedded C/C++ applications for embedded operating systems such as STM32, QNX Neutrino, Micrium / Free RTOS, etc. on ARM targets.Have hands-on experience with tools like Git, SVN.Comprehension of software/hardware debugging techniques.Capable of concise and effective written and verbal communication.Effective communicator within technical and non-technical environments.Work in a way that works for youWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone.
