This developing market, coupled with an unprecedented demand for our execution experience, means that we are looking to grow our consultancy team with dynamic, technical, consulting and commercially minded individuals who can help us meet the challenge of a just and orderly energy transition.We are currently looking for a Senior Process Engineer who wants to join our consultancy team in Aberdeen to strengthen our capabilities.What will you be doing?
  • Have responsibility for delivering quality engineering concepts for energy projects
  • Preparing/checking process deliverables such as Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), simulations, Heat & Material Balances (H&MBs) and equipment lists
  • Be involved in multidisciplinary activities such as Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions calculations, Hazard Identification (HAZID) workshops and environmental impact assessments
  • Be part of the techno-economic analysis to offer the best solutions for clients
  • Be involved in Aker Solutions digitisation drive to improve our client offerings
  • Preparing CTR estimates for process and study scopes
  • Be involved in single and inter-discipline checks and reviews
  • Reviewing and check subordinate engineers' work
We think you should have:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience with chartered status
  • Be degree qualified
  • Have a good breadth of engineering design experience in the energy industry with focus on early phase / consultancy
  • Sound working knowledge of relevant industry design codes and standards
  • Conversant with and knowledge/experience of appropriate technical software including HYSYS & UNISIM
  • Awareness of the latest technical developments in the energy industry
  • Good team working skills and self-motivation to work to deadlines independently
  • Proactive attitude and a desire to develop new skills and experience
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to direct and guide junior engineers and designers
  • Adaptability to integrate with of a mixture of established cross location multidiscipline teams
