- Develop solutions for operational problems and install, maintain and enhance (application) systems to support department operations
- Conduct business systems and technology studies within departments to ensure the respective businesssystems

- Anticipate organizational impacts and impact to other system applications following implementation of new information technologies
- Act as a liaison between client area and other AOC andSAO departmen t s by planning , conducting and directing
- the analysisof complex business problems to be solved withautomated systems
- Collaborate with client, ITcolleagues and others to identify client businessapplication system requirement s, asses impact to other systems applications, consider and evaluate possible solutions, and provide recommendations
- Perform high complex enterprise system development activities
- Support division staff with the successful usage of business systems and overcoming systems issues
- Develop systems using end-user programming tools and offer support and advise to end-users
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to how business systems are mee t ing business requirements
- Provide t echnical expertise on computer application projects
- Perform or oversee system applications analysis, design, development, installation, maintenanceand enhancement.
- Deploy required project resources,expends budgeted funds for required materi al, and arranges for staff ing, tools and specialized support necessary for cost-effective imple m ent at ion.
- Develop or ensure that applications are developedin compliance with architectural standards, established practices and company policies and procedures.
- Act as an interna l consultant providingassistance,counsel and advice both to clients and ITD colleagues in systems design, the use of purchased or licensed software, and In-house developed programming.
- Monitor security audit and intrusion detection system logs for system and network anomaliesand provide first level analysis
- Respond to suspicious or malicious events detected through collection or reported by Help Desk or users
- Evaluate firewall change requests and assess organizationalrisks; Email securit y mon itoring includin g message identification,notification searches and analysis requests
- Develop, collect and analyze logs from firewalls, intrusion detection systems, enterprise anti-virus systemsand
- software deployment tools
- Provide remediation and application event support to IT operations
- Perform preliminary forensic evaluations of internal systems.
- Recognizes potential, successflu, andunsuccessful intrusion attempts and compromises thorough r views and analyses of relevant event detail and summary information .
- Provide analysis, design and support for logcollection of firewalls, routers, networks and operating systems
- Communicate technical and event assessment results, evaluate integrat ion initiatives and provide support to assess and develop security policies, standards and guidelines
- Performs periodic and on-demand system audits and vulnerability assessments, including user accounts, application access, file system and external Web integrity scans to determine compliance.
- Review and recommend the installation, modification or replacement of hardware or software components
- Ident ify and address any configuration change that impact event collection
- Preparesbriefings and reports of analysis methodology and results.
- Creates and maintains Standard Operating Procedures and other similar document ation.
- Frequently withSaudi Aramco counterparts to discuss operational problems and system enhancements
- Frequently with affiliated companies to provide professional assistance, counsel and advice in IT issues.
- Frequently with vendors and industry consult ants to discuss/evaluatenew computer hardware and software
- Frequently with international carriers regarding the installation, maintenance and repair of leased international circuits
- Daily with AOC IT personnel to discuss progress, status, issues, solut ions, recommendations,etc.
- Daily with Unit Supervisor and Project Managers to provide/obtain professional advice, guidance and assistance.
- Daily with AOC personnel from alldepartments to discuss division needs and provide IT support
- Occasionally with Communications staff for the exchange of information on system problems, system enhancements and new computer applications
- Preferably experience with systems analysis, systems engineer ing or equivalent
- Competent withSAP (e.g. MM, QM, Fl, BW, HR),GuiXT, Winshutt le, and SharePoin,t
- Preferably experience with network, host, data and/or application security in multiple operating system environments
- Advanced knowledge of general security methodologies, concepts and terminologies.
- Experience on a Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) or Security Operations Center (SOC).
- Experience with Anti-Virus, Intrusion Detection Systems, Firewalls, Vulnerability Assessment tools and other security tools found in largenetwork environments; along with experience working with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions.
- Familiarity with various network and host-based security applications and tools, such as network and host assessment/scanningtools, network andhost based intrusion detection systems, and other security software packages.
- Preferably work experience in a complicated internat ional netwo rk environment
