- Ensure regulatory compliance control in accordance with the legislation applicable to xpate licensed entities in the United Kingdom, Latvia and Singapore (together - xpate);
- Regularly inform management about regulatory compliance risk, including by preparing semi-annual/annual compliance reports;
- Monitor compliance of the processes of xpate's structural units with legislation and compliance guidelines, identify improvements and coordinate their implementation;
- Develop and maintain internal compliance-related documentation that ensures sound and compliant governance processes in xpate entities on a day-to-day basis;
- Prepare for and participate as needed in internal and external audits of xpate entities
- Monitor and support xpate's communication with and reporting to financial regulators and other external parties
- Regularly develop, revise and renew compliance policies and procedures of xpate entities;
- Cooperate closely with other business functions to ensure compliant internal processes across xpate, including compliant policies, procedures and related documentation of other business functions;
- Advise employees on compliance topics;
- Lead the annual compliance risk assessment process and develop annual compliance work plans;
- Participate and provide advice in business projects and initiatives, identify and eliminate possible compliance risks;
- Conduct compliance research on potential new business vectors as they arise;
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, ensuring compliance with standards, policies and procedures;
- Provide support for the development of xpate's short-term and long-term operational plans;
- Follow up on updates in compliance laws, regulations and standards and implement the necessary changes foreseen in them in the Operational Compliance Risk Management Policy and other related internal regulatory documents of xpate;
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role in the financial services industry, preferably in Latvia, elsewhere in the EU, or United Kingdom;
- Experience communicating with regulatory bodies and auditors;
- Good understanding of maintaining effective relationships with financial regulators;
- Have good reputation;
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements to a financial services business including laws around financial services provision, reporting to regulators, internal corporate documentation principles;
- Being ready to suggest to the management how to deal with changes in regulatory compliance legislation and the latest compliance risk trends, as well as review and anticipate changes and news in regulatory legislation and formulate how they affect xpate's operating processes;
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to make sound judgments;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Attention to details and the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records;
- Have a professional working proficiency in Latvian and English
