Parts Service Advisor

- Responsible for ordering parts, confirming orders and monitoring delivery times
- Receive all shop related items, label and distribute immediately upon receipt or store in an organized manner until the assigned job is ready for the part
- Track any incomplete order status (outstanding orders and back orders) and follow up as necessary
- Inspect all parts for damage, quality and accuracy upon arrival
- Return and re-order any damaged or incorrect parts
- Pickup parts at vendors as requested
- Track and monitor any parts related vendor returns including warranty items.
- Look for supplying alternatives (new and used parts)
- Assist shop with any parts related research
- Other duties as assigned
- Completion of post-secondary education
- Prior parts experience a plus
- Prior clerical or warehouse experience preferred
- Prior Heavy Equipment shop experience preferred
- Strong computer skills, and aptitude to learn new programs
- Exceptional communication skills, oral and written
- Ability to read and understand the basics of repair instructions, and work orders
- Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills; adapts easily to a fast-paced environment
- Personable, friendly demeanor with a solid customer service approach
- Must be able to work consistently between a climate controlled professional office and shop environment
- Requires long periods of sitting or standing depending on daily workflow
- Requires the use of standard office equipment (i.e computer, copier, scanner, etc)
- May require moderate standing, walking, bending or stooping
- May require lifting of up to 50lbs
- Salary Range: $45000- $55000
