Parsons is hiring a Project Manager responsible for the successful execution of projects in support of DoD / IC Clients. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years' uniformed/DoD experience and have a history of successfully running projects, contracts, operations, and test and evaluation events within the DoD/IC.The candidate must enjoy working in a high tempo environment with other high-performing personnel.Specific Responsibilities:Planning and defining project goals and devising methods to accomplish themTracking estimate to completion metrics, finances/invoices, personnel management including recruitment and retention, subcontracts, and project deliverablesManaging project risks and developing risk-management processesCoordinating with corporate support functions to ensure successful project executionAssisting the Program Manager/Deputy Program Manager in capturing contract-level metrics to include but not limited to: accomplishments, schedule, financials, quality, staffing, security, deliverables, and stakeholder communicationDeveloping in-depth knowledge of DoD/IC objectives, subcontract terms, and relevant policiesWorking with other managers, technical teams, and discipline leads to develop ROMs, budgets, schedules, best value analysis and plans for the various elements of each project; ensuring that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plansMonitoring and reporting to management on the progress of all project activity, including significant milestones, and any conditions which would affect project cost or scheduleTraveling to various CONUS customer and/or subcontractor sites - 25% local Colorado travel is anticipatedRequired Education & Certifications:Bachelor's degree in Business or related field; Master's degree preferredProject Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute is required within six months of joiningRequired Experience:8+ years' experience in DoD research and development, operations, training, cyber, and/or exercise functionsSuccessful past performance managing a project/portfolio between $10M - $50M/yearExperience managing multiple sub-contractors across different lines of effortAbility to brief senior leadership on project status, milestones, and/or challengesStrong writing skillsTS clearance with SCI eligibilityDesired Experience:Previous experience executing on GSA/FEDSIM contractsCompletion of Defense Acquisition University coursesMaster's Degree in Business Administration or a related fieldBusiness development or capture management experienceMinimum Clearance Required to Start: Top Secret SCIThis position is part of our Federal Solutions team.Our Federal Solutions segment delivers resources to our US government customers that ensure the success of missions around the globe.
