Reporting To: Planning ManagerPurpose of the RoleThe Future Leaders Graduate Programme is a 2-year programme designed to give you the skills, knowledge and experience to become a Project Planner.As an Assistant Project Planner, you will assist with the development, maintenance and updating of project plans and programmes of work for Railway Signalling projects.What I will be Focused on - Key Responsibilities
- Support in the development of scope identification
- Assist in the development of scheduling requirements
- Create basic WBS for program development
- Understand periodic drumbeat and reporting requirements
- Attend Project Update meetings
- Contribute in the creation and review of project baselines
- Assist in the periodic schedule updates
- Prepares planning and scheduling information for reporting
- Work with the project team to ensure that everyone works in a collaborative, open and honest manner with all stakeholders – liaising regularly with subcontractors, client and any relevant third parties where required.
- Attend all the relevant Graduate Development Training for your pathway, ensuring the learning gets delivered in the workplace.
- Complete the Safety Challenge when requested.
- As you will expect the organisation may change from time to time and you will be expected to meet the operational requirements.
- Any other reasonable duties as required from time to time.

- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of Windows and Microsoft software
- Minimum 2:2 in chosen Degree
- Show an interest and drive to be part of the Rail Industry and Colas Rail
- Work independently and in a team using your own initiative to deliver successful projects
