Our customers include Boeing, Airbus, Lockheed Martin, Bell Helicopters, Textron, BAE Systems, Pratt & Whitney, Leonardo. Our Luton site is home to 370+ employees and onsite facilities including onsite parking, food hub and vending machines.As Material Handler you will be based at our Luton manufacturing site supporting our Defence and Civil business lines whilst reporting to the Logistics Team Leader. Working within a team as Material Handler you will collect materials from the stores and deliver them to different areas of the factory.This is a full-time position and core operational hours at our Luton site are: 07:30 - 16:30 Monday to Thursday & 07:30 - 12:30 Friday.Job Responsibilities
- Use SAP (our ERP system) to replenish and/or transfer materials prior to delivering lineside
- Pick and deliver materials and products using various trolleys, pallets trucks and lifting equipment
- Locate stock in designated storage location post goods receipt
- Liaise with other departments and members of staff
- Inventory cycle counting of stores and lineside stock
- React to changes in demand on material requirements, monitoring visual replenishment requirements
- Maintain clean work environment including assigned storage monitoring and cleaning duties
- Replenish Kanban systems
- Ensure compliance with the company's environmental, Health and Safety and Energy procedures
- Comply with Logistics Procedure
- Perform to KPI's
- Maintain stock accuracy
Essential:
- Experience gained from a role where you have handled stock and/or materials in a warehouse or stores environment
- Experience of using ERP systems for stock and/or materials control
- Experience of manually picking stock and/or materials
- Experience of stock taking or materials inventory
- Basic computer skills including MS Word and Excel
- Experience of SAP ERP systems
- Forklift certification
- Experience of Kanban systems
- Up to £25,000 per annum dependent on experience
