Job Description We have a drive in farm assistant position available in Waihou starting 4 June. We are looking for someone who has experience in all farm tasks but can also teach someone who is willing to learn with a great attitude.Hours will be a minimum of 40 per week with some weekends required. Extra hours will be required from time to time depending on seasonal requirements.We appreciate someone who is hard worker with a positive attitude and who can work alone or within a team. Honesty and reliability are essential.Milkings are generally sole charge after calving and mating through an easy 24 aside herringbone cowshed with meal feeders milking 170 cows. Other duties will include weed management, milking, stock movement, shifting irrigator, farm maintenance and break feeding.Our farm is 60 hectares and we also have a 50 hectare run off ten minutes away where our young stock is grazed and supplement made.
