What's involved?We are currently seeking an enthusiastic candidate who is interested in completing training and education as an apprentice, completing a Certificate III in Engineering - Fixed and Mobile Plant Mechanic with a view to becoming a trade-qualified Fitter.Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, your main responsibilities will include:

Participate in on-the-job training and block release training with an appropriate RTO in practical and theory subjects,
Observe safety policies and procedures, and contribute to good housekeeping of facilities,
Assist tradespeople with disassembly and rebuilt of front and rear wheel groups,
Assist with measurement and inspection of components for repair,
Manual handling.

About You:To suit this role, you will be a motivated individual with good communication skills, have a high level of mechanical aptitude and demonstrate initiative in your everyday duties.Our ideal candidate will have:

Completed Year 11 or 12 with sound results in Maths, English and relevant vocational education subjects,
the ability to operate equipment and systems,
the ability to read, comprehend and write reports.
