What's involved?We are currently seeking an enthusiastic candidate who is interested in completing training and education as an apprentice, completing a Certificate III in Engineering - Fixed and Mobile Plant Mechanic with a view to becoming a trade-qualified Fitter.Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, your main responsibilities will include:
  • Participate in on-the-job training and block release training with an appropriate RTO in practical and theory subjects,
  • Observe safety policies and procedures, and contribute to good housekeeping of facilities,
  • Assist tradespeople with disassembly and rebuilt of front and rear wheel groups,
  • Assist with measurement and inspection of components for repair,
  • Manual handling.
About You:To suit this role, you will be a motivated individual with good communication skills, have a high level of mechanical aptitude and demonstrate initiative in your everyday duties.Our ideal candidate will have:
  • Completed Year 11 or 12 with sound results in Maths, English and relevant vocational education subjects,
  • the ability to operate equipment and systems,
  • the ability to read, comprehend and write reports.
