Come prepared to be inspired The Business Entity We are looking for the perfect someone to lead various Finance initiatives within the FTO's execution pillar. The ideal person will be hands-on, and an ace in finance program execution with experience to back it. The candidate will lead execution of multiple key operational projects within the Management Reporting and Forecasting umbrellas. The Team Finance Transformation Office (FTO) is one of the top priorities within Cisco Finance today. The group drives groundbreaking initiatives within corporate finance, influencing the way we operate, and also links and provides support to various functional groups within Finance including Engineering Finance (BTOF), Sales and Services Finance (SSF), Supply Chain Finance, Corp FP&A and others. The group's charter involves improving visibility and insight into the financials of the businesses that Cisco operates in, providing thought-leadership and innovation, and constantly improving how we report, forecast, plan and tie to business accountability. Our key tracks of work include 1) Management Reporting and Analytics and 2) Coordinated Forecasting and Planning. This is an exciting time for change and this team is helping lead the efforts! FTO offers a broad learning experience and opportunity to get hands on in several areas including Gross Margin and Operating Margin reporting, Product & Service Bookings and Gross Margin Forecasting, Revenue and Cost Allocations, Departmental OPEX and headcount reporting, Accruals, Business reporting by Sales and Product hierarchies, Acquisitions integration, and other areas. The role will be working with multiple partners in San Jose to gather requirements, advise them of interdependencies and impacts, process re-design, build and testing through capability adoption. The candidate should have the ability to connect all the dots, and lead efforts for their track which would often be part of a larger business capability. Effective partnership with multiple partner groups and senior management is required on a day-to-day basis. The person will also be responsible for running multiple operational projects, prioritization through QPR (quarterly portfolio review process), process standardization and optimization through defined governance models and ensuring effective assimilation of new processes / integrations to the current operating model. The candidate we are looking for .must. be very detail oriented, and passionate about going deep, as well as going wide. Responsibilities include: Providing single point leadership for a track' and ensuring strong controls, governance and delivery Articulating and running the Financial vs Operational requirements. Closely collaborating with the other initiatives / track owners leading interdependencies effectively. Maintaining and improving performance metrics of your project. Ensuring the initiatives meet the investment requirements and have acceptable quality management systems in place to meet the quality and control requirements Maintain reporting cadence for overall track status to senior manager and executive team, peers, and other finance partners on a consistent basis Promoting teamwork to drive difficulty & delivery of initiatives and transformation of processes to respond to constantly evolving business needs. Ensuring strong partner relationships are maintained, developing procedures for communication and interaction. Experience and Qualifications: 6-8+ years of Financial Reporting / Operational Experience Bachelor degree minimum in area of finance, accounting, or general business management. MBA Finance from a premier institution or CA (Chartered Accountant) degree a plus. Experience in Hyperion planning a must. Background in financial reporting/forecasting and business decision-making a plus Experience / understanding of performance management, statistical analysis and trending a plus Consistent track record of effective partnerships with various cross functional teams including IT Candidate must have positive relationship leadership skills and be able to work collaboratively and seamlessly at all levels. Demonstrate ability to work in team environment and help resolve issues Strong written and oral communications skills Consultative, collaborative nature and customer-service oriented Validated collaboration and influencing skills Good understanding, working knowledge, and experience with reporting technologies and experience working with IT a plus.
