Gather and maintain comprehensive cost information, nurturing our expenses database with accurate and up-to-date figures
Design and implement efficient data accumulation systems, streamlining our cost-tracking processes for maximum effectiveness
Strategically plan and record variable costs, identifying opportunities for optimization and savings
Prepare detailed budgeting reports, scrutinizing standard and actual costs to pinpoint inaccuracies and inform strategic decisions
Dive deep into our profit margins, analyzing trends and identifying areas for improvement to enhance our bottom line
Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance every step of the way
Proactively identify and recommend cost-effective solutions, leveraging your expertise to drive continuous improvement

Job Experience & Skills Required:Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12)
BCom Accounting
Studying towards or completed CIMA

Experience:

Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in cost accounting or similar role
Experience with financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting
NB! Will be required to travel between different branches

Skills & Competencies:

Strong technical abilities in financial reporting, analysis, and management, with expertise in accounting software and Excel
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to forge strong relationships with internal stakeholders
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, coupled with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting, along with a solid grasp of accounting principles and standards
