The roleThe team undertake the management of Rural Estates and offer a range of professional rural advice, their technical excellence ensures an impressive client base, and they advise on some of the most prestigious clients in the area. The role will be primarily professional general practice and valuation work but also spilling out potentially to some Rural Estate management work. There will also be opportunities to get involved in financial brokering.Key Deliverables
  • Basic knowledge of managing rural estates
  • Undertaking farming business reviews
  • Handling farm diversification projects including Stewardship and other grant aided land opportunities.
  • Secured lending and other professional valuations
  • Interest in natural capital opportunities as well as green energy projects
  • Assisting in companywide National utility contracts
Person specificationQualifications/Key Skills
  • Professionally qualified MRICS
  • Excellent research and analytical skills
  • APC valuation pass and /or RICS registered valuer
Experience
  • Excellent IT skills including use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet
  • Being able to manage people including estate employees, and to build strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders
  • Being prepared to take the initiative and to problem solve to achieve the best outcome for the client
  • The ability to multi-task and deal with multiple and potentially conflicting objectives and deadlines
  • The ability to set and monitor financial budgets
  • Understands and appreciates the importance of using discretion when dealing with sensitive information
