We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to start their apprenticeship with our highly skilled teams.Brief overview of the roleWe are looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals to join our highly skilled team. When joining our Apprenticeship Scheme here at Honeywell Hymatic in Redditch, you will work alongside qualified and experienced Honeywell Business Professionals and Engineers to develop your Engineering skills whilst undertaking part time academic studies.Location: Redditch, Worcestershire
Salary: Competitive start with yearly increase system
Expected duration: 4-5 years depending on qualification level
Possible start date: Summer 2024
Apprenticeship level: Mechanical Technician. The apprentice will be undertaking a Level 3 Engineering Technician Apprenticeship following the Technical Support Engineer pathway.Vacancy descriptionAerospace Engineering Apprentices will have the opportunity to work in all areas of the business with a focus on Engineering disciplines such as Design, Research and Development, Stress Analysis, Performance Analysis and Project or Systems Engineering.
You will focus on all aspects related to the full lifecycle of systems and products. You will be expected to design, develop, specify, analyse, test, validate and modify designs and solutions to satisfy customers requirements and in-service Operations.Requirements and prospects
Desired skills:
  • Strong and confident communicator
  • Highly computer literate
  • Able to understand and apply complex analytical methods (Engineering mathematics- algebra, differentiation, function, geometry, trigonometry, statistics)
  • Ability to demonstrate interest in an Engineering hobby or skillset would be desirable
Personal qualities
  • Well organised
  • Work accurately with excellent attention to detail under minimum supervision
  • Ability to complete work, follow up and appropriate reporting on responsibilities
  • Good co-ordination, motor skills, and dexterity
  • Passion to learn and grow in the industrial field selected
  • The ability to effectively work as part of a team and on your own
Desired qualificationsAn apprentice will be expected to have already achieved academic qualifications of:
  • Mechanical Technician level:- 5 GCSEs at grades B or above (or equivalent) - Including Maths and English
