- Work with the HR staff to identify opportunities to improve efficiencies through expertise with both HRIS and departmental business practices.
- Utilizing independent judgment based on business practices and process acumen, facilitate and lead sessions to develop business requirements and functionality enhancements.
- Analyze and communicate configuration capabilities and limitations.
- Analyze impact of enhancements on system functionality.
- Evaluate quarterly releases for system impacts and provide/inform HR of updates and develop recommendations for effective HR procedures and business processes.
- Participate in designing new functionality or modifications to existing functionality, communicating with I.T. as appropriate for integration and troubleshooting.
- Develop and prepare detailed design documentation for approved system modifications.
- Coordinate and assist in the testing of new functionality and modifications to the HR information system.
- Update and maintain configuration workbooks, test scripts, training materials and other system related documentation.
- May lead the functionality and integration analyses involving electronic signatures and electronic data storage.
- Provide HRIS expertise for strategic reporting initiatives.
- Troubleshoot user issues.
- Ensure accuracy of HRIS data via audits and training of support staff.
- Document user requirements.
- Recommends solution and serves as liaison with Information Systems staff to resolve programming, integration and related problems.
- May maintain secured file transfer protocol (FTP) software used to transfer data files to third party vendors.
- May write, maintain, and support a variety of reports or queries utilizing the appropriate reporting tools.
- May assist in the development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs.
- Maintain employee data confidentiality and protect unauthorized access to HR information systems.
- Responsible for maintaining user roles and permissions based on supervisor approval.
- 5-7 years related experience
- Associate degree - Non degree considered if 6+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED.
- Experience with Human Capital Management software (PeopleSoft or SAP), Applicant Tracking Software (ATS) and applicable reporting tools.
- Understanding of HRMS database design, processes and experience with database tools.
- Basic knowledge of web technology HTML, XML, browsers, SQL etc.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be detail-oriented, have good problem-solving skills.
- Previous exposure to managing project-related activities. SAP Certification is a plus (Recruiting Management, Onboarding, Employee Central etc.).
