- Academic Support: Assist children in understanding and completing class assignments and projects. Reinforce learning concepts and strategies.
- Communication: Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and parents to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to support each child’s learning goals.
- Behavioural Support: Implement strategies to manage and support positive behaviour and fostering a conducive learning environment.
- Progress Monitoring: Keep detailed records of the student's progress and share insights with the teaching team and parents as needed.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge and understanding of diverse learning needs and strategies to address them.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
- Relevant certifications or coursework in special education or a related field is a plus.
