From state-of-the-art digital rail control, to infrastructure and electrification projects, along with metro trains and the long-term maintenance of the metro fleet in the country’s capital city Bucharest, Alstom is constantly making a difference in the mainline and urban rail transport in Romania.In Bulgaria we manage several projects including a major contract to design and install an ERTMS signalling and telecommunication system along the Bulgarian 300-km Plovdiv-Burgas railway line (one of the most important rail signalling projects in Europe in recent years).Through the diversity and complexity of its projects, Alstom is a very attractive employer for the young generations of specialists, giving them a unique chance to professionally grow in an international environment with access to worldwide knowledge and capabilities.Overview:Carry out safely and in a timely fashion the testing of all vehicles, wayside equipment and systems in accordance with processes and approved requirements in designated tools (e.g. DOORS, RQM), to ensure functionality, integration to the system/railway and compliance to standards, regulation and local law. Ensures documented modifications testing are implemented efficiently and sufficient to verify non regression of issue. Guarantees all testing results (including modifications and investigation testing) are adequately recorded and reported, including identification of non-conformities, defects, and workmanship issues, in designated tools (e.g.: Maximo, RQM). Ensures the as-tested configuration is adequately recorded in designated tool and non-conformity raised for missing information/designation. Verifies that team members have the proper credentials, training and supervision for the intended testing works. Is accountable for the safety of team leaded and will conducted work planning, pre-work safety brief, post work debrief and escalate matters as required.Specific responsibilities of the role:
  • Prepare installation work and confirm readiness of installation execution (4M checklist)
  • Train and support the Installation Workers and Sub-contractors on the working fronts under his/her responsibility, clarifying doubts and task priorities
  • Supervise execution of Installation - on trackside and/or onboard-, independently if performed by Alstom workers, Sub-contractors, or Customer / Partner / Third Party
  • Ensure compliance of Installation activities with D&IS Installation and FO Process
  • Apply the Work Method Statement (WMS) / Installation procedures according design documentation, report on any deviation found or needed.
  • Make sure the EHS requirements and special processes are clearly included in the WMS
  • Report to the PrYM/PrSOM/PrFOM the field activities progress and any issue or founding in the execution, including non-conformities to communicate to Quality team
  • Ensure the activities are carried out as per schedule, within the productivity required, in line with the quality standards
  • Ensure and support the Handover process to T&C team / Customer
  • Continuous improvement:
  • Contribute to best practices definition and REX within the Product Line
  • Ensure the strictly application of EHS rules by the installation workers (including Sub-contractors)
Requirements:
  • Technical High-School Diploma
  • Strong experience in railway Site management
  • Planning control experience in site management scope
  • Strong experience in EHS railway management
Competency & Skills:
  • Quality and EHS-focused, rigorous, team-player
  • Decision-making and problem-solving ability
  • Resilience, with an analytic way of thinking in order to solve Field complex deviations and issues
  • Strong leadership skills to manage multiple workers and suppliers
Desirable:
  • Certification on Railway Safety
  • Certification on Site EHS management
  • Knowledgeable of Railway products and services on different market segments (Urban, Mainline, F&M)
  • Knowledgeable of transversal railway construction activities (civil, infrastructure, catenary, etc…)
