Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Smart Meter Engineers to join our team based in either London, Scotland, Wales, and NW Yorkshire. As a Smart Meter Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting smart meter systems for our clients. This role is a permanent position, and you will be expected to work full-time hours.Basic Salary: £38,000 - £41,800 (within M25)
OTE: £45,000 - £50,000 Per Annum
Loyalty & Attendance Bonus: £800 - paid in November
Compliance Bonus: £10 per day - paid if you work safely and compliantly (£2,600 per year)Job Duties
  • Install and commission smart meter units at residential and commercial premises.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient connection of smart meter devices to the energy supply network.
  • Conduct thorough tests to verify the functionality and performance of smart meter systems.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on smart meter systems as necessary.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to smart meter installations.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding smart meter systems.
  • Keep detailed records of all installations, maintenance activities, and repairs performed.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry regulations and standards related to smart meter systems.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks.
Required Qualifications
  • Valid certification as a Smart Meter Engineer. (e.g. MOCOPA)
  • Ideally 18 months experience in installing and maintaining smart meter systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and energy supply systems.
  • Proficient in using relevant tools and equipment for smart meter installations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Good communication skills to interact with clients and address their concerns.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality work.
Working ConditionsThe Smart Meter Engineer role involves working both indoors and outdoors, often in residential and commercial premises. You may be exposed to various weather conditions and occasionally work at heights. Safety equipment and protective clothing will be provided as necessary.
