Hire Resolve is partnering with a leading company in the Sugar Production Industry to fill the position of Specialisation Head (Engineering). As the Specialisation Head, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading the engineering department to ensure efficient and effective operations.Responsibilities:

Develop and implement long-term strategies and plans for the engineering department
Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians
Oversee maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery
Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
Monitor and control departmental budget
Collaborate with other departments to optimize production processes
Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction
Provide technical expertise and guidance to solve complex engineering problems
Stay up-to-date with advancements in the industry and implement relevant technologies

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
Registration as a Pr.Eng with the Engineering Council of South Africa would be an advantage
10+ years sugar operations experience at senior manager level with relevant on-site sugar milling cross engineering functional leadership experience
Proven leadership and management skills
Strong technical knowledge in engineering principles and practices
Good understanding of safety and regulatory standards
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
