- In collaboration with the Global and Regional Account Managers, in accordance with the Group pricing strategy, propose pricing principles for each global account, formalize those principles & implement them. Ensure sound pricing governance and processes.
- Be actively part of Global Account Mgrs. and Key Account Mgrs. communities:
- To be involved from the start in the pricing of new projects.
- To detect potential risks/opportunities
- To monitor the evolution the accounts and achieve profitability targets
- Actively support the business development team in commercial negotiations
- Support price setting for new product launches in collaboration with product managers. Revisit prices for existing products.
- Apply a variety of pricing analyses for selected customer portfolios, identify gaps and propose actions to protect and improve group profitability.
- Handle all price requests related to the designated accounts in a timely manner & in a structured way. This includes providing transfer prices, updating sales price list and sales contracts.
- Understand cost components of delivering our products to customers and explain them to the different stakeholders. This requires deep insight into the main raw material categories and evolution of the commodity markets, packaging options, process cost, delivery costs, etc.
- Organize the pricing function as efficiently as possible, using all available tools of SAP, Power-BI, Qlikview etc
- Coordinate tenders & RFP
- In collaboration with the business development team, maintain direct and regular contact with customers to provide relevant market information and discuss/defend price evolution
- Be an active member of other strategic pricing projects.
- You have a Master's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- You have at least 10 years of experience in Pricing or another relevant field within an international environment.
- You are effective in product marketing and value-based pricing approach.
- You have an analytical and process mindset. Also, you have the ability to efficiently interpret large amounts of data and make strategic recommendations.
- You have proven negotiation and relationship-building skills with a focus on beneficial customer outcomes.
- You engage and inspire your stakeholders
- You are credible, persuasive and have a resilient personality.
- You speak fluently English. Dutch, French or any other language is a plus.
