Protocol Education, a leading education recruitment agency, is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join a vibrant primary school in Harlow as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant. This is a unique opportunity to make a profound impact on the life of a student with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) by providing tailored 1:1 support.Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the classroom teacher to implement strategies that support the unique learning needs of the SEND child.
  • Provide individualized support and encouragement to facilitate the student's academic and social development.
  • Adapt and differentiate learning materials to meet the specific requirements of the child.
  • Collaborate with the school's Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) and other professionals to create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and record progress, communicating effectively with parents and relevant stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs.
  • Understanding and empathy for the challenges faced by children with SEND.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with the teaching staff, parents, and external professionals.
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in response to the unique needs of the child.
