Through the application of Apple technology, iStore Education's team of education specialists create innovative solutions that support teaching and learning, working with hundreds of schools and higher education institutions across South Africa.Our approach covers everything from helping you introduce the latest Apple devices into the learning space, integrating with current systems, guiding professional development and curriculum strategies, and supporting with technology services.iStore Education is looking for a Business Development Manager for the Western Cape and outlying region.Role Purpose:We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Manager to acquire new clients plus nurture and grow our key client accounts in the Cape region. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in account management, exceptional communication skills, and a deep understanding of the education landscape. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with clients, build strong relationships, and drive revenue growth through strategic account management initiatives. To seek, establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing customers in the region, these customers would be primary, secondary and tertiary education institutions. This account manager will identify, onboard and maintain clients to grow revenue and grow the overall business.Responsibilities:
  • Prospecting and acquiring new clients
  • Managing and growing new and existing accounts,
  • Work with internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
  • Nurturing and growing relationships with customers, acting as a point of contact for any issues or queries, and addressing concerns promptly, fostering trust and loyalty.
  • Maintaining accurate records, tracking performance metrics on existing accounts and new sales concluded and providing regular weekly reports to management on client engagement and sales/revenue, including but not limited to sales forecasts, pipeline etc.
  • Monthly and Quarterly Sales Performance review presentations.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify potential opportunities or threats to client accounts.
  • Prepare regular reports and updates on account performance, sales activities, and client feedback for management review.
  • Proactively resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise with client accounts to maintain customer satisfaction and retention.
Requirements:
  • Min 3 - 5 years' experience in an a Sales role in education sector.
  • Excellent sales, account management, relationship and administrative skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and pursue growth opportunities.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
