Are you a kind and friendly nanny with SEN experience?A wonderful live out nanny role has become available in Wheathampstead, Hertfordshire. Sadly, Mum recently passed away, so you will be working alongside a friendly and professional Dad, to help give the children the care and stability they require. The hours will ideally be 09.00-19.00, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday (30 hours), but this is flexible. There is also the possibility of overnight stays when Dad is working away. These additional hours will be mutually agreed and paid as overtime. There is the likelihood that the days will increase overtime. The role could also be live in (own separate room and bathroom), but the salary would be adjusted this. You will be caring for two boys aged 16 years and 14 years. The youngest has been diagnosed with autism and can get quite anxious. He is not currently attending school and is having on-line lessons, but they are hoping that this will change in the future and he will return to school when he is ready. He excels in Maths, but struggles a little more with English and creative subjects. He can form special bonds with people when he wants to, so someone who understands autism would be ideal. Any tutoring knowledge would also be a bonus. The older boy is quite self-sufficient, but will need a little encouragement to complete homework and you will oversee that he has everything he needs for school the following day.In the school holidays, you will have the opportunity to take the boys out for day trips and activities if they would like to.You will need to be a careful and confident driver with your own fully insured car. Duty mileage will be paid. There is the possibility of a duty car if required. As well as general care of the children, while they are at school, there will be time to help keep the family organised - family laundry, keeping the children's areas (bedrooms, kitchen, etc) tidy and organised and making sure all rooms used are tidy at the end of the day. Any help to keep the house running smoothly would be appreciated - emptying the dishwasher, running the vacuum round, running the occasional errand, grocery shopping, school admin, etc. The family has a cleaner each week. The family has two dogs, an old Labrador and a younger Cockerpoo, so a walk with them in the day will be part of the role. You will cook healthy and nutritious meals for the children each day, asking them to help plan the menu, so that you know what food to buy each week.If you are a kind and gentle nanny, who would like to help support this wonderful family, please apply below.Location of the job: Wheathampstead, Hertfordshire
